Massage Therapy & Somatic Bodywork

Hands-on care that is thoughtful, unhurried, and responsive to the person on the table.

Every session is individualized. There are no preset routines, and no assumption that what works for one body works for another.

For clients who also see me for movement, we can blend bodywork into sessions as your body calls for it.

CranioSacral Therapy

Gentle, light-touch approach that works with the craniosacral system — the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. By listening to subtle rhythms in the body and releasing restrictions in the craniosacral system, CST supports the nervous system's capacity to self-regulate and heal.

Applied to the head, spine, sacrum and other areas as appropriate; clients remain fully clothed.

Particularly well-tolerated by hypermobile and sensitive bodies.

Supportive for

  • Chronic pain

  • Headaches

  • Jaw tension (TMD)

  • Scoliosis

  • Fatigue

  • Nervous system dysregulation

CranioSacral massage

Intra-oral massage is available for head, neck and jaw dysfunction.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is the connective tissue that weaves through and around every structure in the body — muscles, bones, organs, and nerves. When it becomes restricted from injury, inflammation, or chronic tension, movement suffers and pain settles in.

Myofascial Release uses sustained, gentle pressure to encourage tissue to soften, lengthen, and reorganize – addressing the fascial system as a whole. Slower than most people expect. Often more lasting.

Supportive for

  • Chronic pain

  • Repetitive strain

  • Scar & tissue adhesions

  • Post-surgical recovery

  • Postural discomfort

  • Hypermobility (with appropriate depth & pacing)

Therapeutic Massage

Intentional, goal-oriented manual work adapted to your current state. Techniques may include Swedish massage, deeper tissue work (applied thoughtfully), neuromuscular approaches, and integrative bodywork informed by somatic and movement-based perspectives.

Some sessions call for lighter work; others benefit from more targeted attention. We make that decision together.

Supportive for

  • Muscle tension

  • Stress

  • Chronic pain

  • Injury recovery

  • Movement practice support

What to Expect

Before

An intake form about your health history, current concerns, and any areas to focus on or avoid. Please complete this before your appointment — it helps us make the most of our time together.

Relevant provider notes and imaging are always welcome, but not required.

On Arrival

We'll have a brief conversation to review your intake and discuss what you're hoping to feel from the session. There's always space to ask questions, update me on anything new, or simply let me know how you're feeling that day.

During

You'll be draped at all times, and many massage techniques can be performed over clothing, if you prefer. Pressure, pace, and focus are always adjustable — your feedback and communication are welcome and appreciated at any point throughout the session.

After

It's normal to feel deeply relaxed, slightly tender, or emotionally settled after a session. Rest if you can, and drink water.

Some people notice shifts immediately; others notice changes gradually over the days that follow. Both are normal.
